HEY YOU!
YES, I MEAN YOU!!!!
DO NOT ORDER BASED ON YOUR PANTS SIZE!
We want you to be happy, and we know you WILL NOT be happy ordering based on your jean size. How do we know this? Because our kilt sizes are based on the actual waist measurement, and from experience we know that jeans aren't. If you wear a size 34 jeans, your waist is probably 36". Don't ask us why this is, we are just as puzzled as you! Because our kilts are based on actual waist size, they usually run 2-4 inches ABOVE your normal pants/jeans size. So if you normally wear a size 34 jeans, you will probably need a size 36 kilt. If you order a size 34, it's going to be kinda tight. And then after that first pitcher of beer at the Highland Games, it's probably going to feel downright uncomfortable. We don't want that to happen, so we want to give you all the information you need to order the right size off the bat!
In order to get the best fitting kilt, please measure your waist. I know you have a tape measure out in the garage, so take a few minutes and go get it:).
If you don't know where your tape measure is, then add at least 2" to your jean size when ordering: that works for most but not all. Jean sizes over 44 might need 4" added: i.e. if you wear a 44 jeans then a 48 kilt may be best for you.
If you can measure and order based on that, it's best. Otherwise order considering the above. We are pretty cool with exchanging kilts for a size that will really fit you, but if you measure you won't have to deal with that hassle/additional wait:)
